Safety & Health

Respect is the foundation of a good party. These guidelines exist to help everyone feel safe, welcome, and supported.

They apply wherever our community gathers, in person and online, including at events, on our website, and across our social media spaces. We ask everyone to bring care and awareness to the dance floor, digital spaces, and shared moments. If something feels off, support is always close.

Our Commitment to You

We’re here to create welcoming spaces where everyone feels safe, supported, and free to enjoy the moment. alienInFlux is built on connection, care, and collective respect. Thanks for being part of that.

Guidelines for a Respectful Community

  • Speak and listen with respect.
  • Use welcoming, inclusive language.
  • Honour different experiences and perspectives.
  • Offer empathy and support when needed.
  • Stay open to feedback and growth.

Behaviour & Harassment

The following behaviour is not tolerated at alienInFlux events or online spaces:

  • Unwelcome sexual or physical advances, contact, or gestures
  • Harassment, trolling, or derogatory comments, including those based on race, gender, age, religion, income, ethnicity, ability, sexuality, or identity
  • Excessive intoxication affecting others
  • Theft, damage to property, or any form of violence

Reporting

If something doesn’t feel right, trust that feeling. Reach out to a security team member or contact us through our website. We’ll listen without judgment and help you find next steps, whether that’s support, a quiet space, transportation, or further action. Harmful behaviour online is taken just as seriously as in-person incidents.

Security & Medical

Our security and medical teams are here to support the vibe, not interrupt it. They’re trained in first aid, de-escalation, and cultural sensitivity, and work closely with event staff to keep everyone safe.

At Harvest festival, the Haven is a 24-hour confidential support space next to the medical tent, offering rest, grounding, and care throughout the weekend.

Our Health Commitment

Help us take care of each other. If you’re feeling unwell, please rest and join us when you’re better. If you or those around you are more vulnerable, consider small steps like arriving early, wearing a mask if you choose, or dancing near a source of fresh air.

These guidelines reflect our shared commitment to safer, more caring spaces. Thanks for holding that with us.
