Box of Kittens has been a staple of Toronto’s underground since the late 2000s. DJs/event creators Mike Gibbs, Jamie Kidd, Hali, and Fabio Palermo started DIY warehouse and loft parties, featuring international artists like &ME, Adam Port, Steffi, Luke Slater, Carl Craig, and Robert Babicz, focused on good music, good vibes, and inclusive crowds.
Box of Kittens’ sets span house, techno, electro, and room-driven sounds. Standouts include their 10th Anniversary warehouse bash and Sunday Afternoon Social: Mad Professor, Dubmatix & friends.
Long-runners like Sunday Afternoon Social, co-produced with alienInFlux (Harvest Festival, Boreal Canoe Trip, Boat of Bass), are Toronto institutions. They’ve exported that energy worldwide, from local spots to Berlin, Amsterdam, Thailand, always music-first and connection-driven.
